8 dollars. Sounds a bit silly to be trying to make eight bucks, doesn’t it? However, if you are not really making anything from your blog OR you just need a bit extra to cover certain things you want for your site, eight dollars can seem like a whole lot! We can put ads on our sites and make 8 bucks in no time, but actually receiving that eight dollars could take months! The following 8 Ways to Make 8 Dollars Blogging will help you see money in your account ASAP so that you can get the tools you need to further your blog and make even more.
Our LearntoBlog VIP forum is chock full of great ways to grow your blog and your income, but so many people have said they don’t have $7.99 per month to invest in their blogging business. We understand that money can be tight for folks. We understand that many of us feel like we can’t take food money away from our kids to put into “this blogging thing”. However, at what point do you decide that your blogging business is worth one less Grande Mocha Latte per month? Worth one less Big Mac meal per month? Worth 1 less premium TV channel per month?
At what point do you decide that your business is worth investing in?
With around 5,000 posts and 1,000 different topics, the LTB VIP forum is worth so much more than $7.99 per month. However, we wanted to keep it at a price that even the smallest blogger can afford. Unfortunately, we have to charge to cover all the expenses that LTB has or we would give it away for free! We feel that passionately about helping others! So, since most of us don’t want to take household money to grow our businesses, we came up with 8 ways to make 8 dollars blogging. If you implement even one of these ways, you will be paying for the VIP Forum.
If you implement all of these ways, you will be able to afford SKYROCKET or DOMINATE and then you can start implementing it and the Adsense challenge within the forum to start making real income from your blog.
8 Ways to Make 8 Dollars Blogging
1 – Create a product that fits your blog niche! You could do a simple printable checklist, menu, craft, xyz-per-day monthly calendar, etc and sell it via etsy or teachers-pay-teachers depending on your niche.
Over the years, precious metals from kitco have been suitable choices as safe-haven investments. Even when the economy plunges into an undesirable state, the value of gold stays the same or even rises on certain occasions.
2 – Offer to Ghost Write for your favorite blogger. Depending on your income needs, you could offer 1 or 2 posts OR you could stick around a while. While we should never undervalue ourselves, you have to start at the bottom (granted, this should be more than 8 dollars unless it is a deal or affiliate round-up type post). If you offer to write a ghost-written post but can include 2 links to your own blog, you could cut a lower priced deal. This gives you what you want (money), gives the blogger some content, and gets you some backlinks!
3 – Completing Chore Threads – Many people do these for 5 dollars per thread. You could do just 2 threads and you would have enough money for the forum.
4 – Social Promotion – if you have a decent sized social media account, you could offer to share bloggers’ links on your social channel for a certain price!
5 – Make some affiliate sales! Go into your top posts and add some coordinating Amazon product using affiliate links. You will start to see conversions in no time!
6 – LearntoBlog affiliate sales – if you want one of our courses and sign up as an affiliate, you will make 12.60 per sale. You only need to make 5 sales to make enough to pay for one of our courses. So, a good idea is to talk your tribe into joining you in a 30 day challenge and selling them the course through your affiliate link so all 6+ of you can work through it together!
7 – Become a VA – I, Kelli, was a VA for a bunch of years to pay for my site! Yes, I was a blogger making money as a VA so I could hire a VA. Sounds crazy, but my skill-set was different that my help’s. I was good at SEO, timelines, and other technical stuff. I HATED doing linky parties. So, I did some tech VA work to make extra money so I could pay someone to link me up at the linky parties. Smart, right? You are good at something even if it is scheduling FB, pinterest, or twitter. You could offer this service at a reasonable price and start seeing some extra income, so you can afford to get the educational tools your blog needs for you to grow! Simple join the VAs for Hire group (or a similar one) and pay attention to what people need help with. Then, respond!
8 – Make graphics! From printables to images. From blog buttons to social media. Some of us just want to create – I, Kelli, have done this too! I went through a period of LOVING to make printables, so I offered some up for $5.00 per page. Many bloggers don’t have time or just aren’t that great at doing the creative portion of blogging – they prefer words to graphics. This could be a real money-maker depending on how much you need and how much time you want to put into it.
What are you waiting for? Time to start making actual money, TODAY!

Thanks you gave me an idea.

Awesome! I can’t wait to hear which idea you chose to focus on and how it went for you. 🙂

Great ideas Kelli! What’s a chore thread? I don’t think I’ve heard of that before.

Chore threads are like the threads we do on the Learn to Blog FB group. Everyone drops and link and then returns the favor. For example, maybe everyone drops a Pinterest link they want repinned, so you leave one in the list as well. Everyone on the list repins your pin. In return, you resin everyone’s link as well.
Does that make sense?

At what point do you decide that your business is worth investing in?
Always. But that doesn’t mean you have the money to invest in it. $96 a year is LOT of money for me. I simply don’t have it to spare. I definitely don’t want to risk not being able pay my hosting bill or domain renewals.
I get your point, but please be a little more understanding. For some people, the idea of buying the extras you mention is really funny. Mocha Lattes and premium TV channels. ROFL
But thanks for the ideas and for recognizing that even $8 a month of blogging income is a win!

I totally agree that even earning 8 dollars can seem like a whole lot as per the very second sentence in this post: “However, if you are not really making anything from your blog OR you just need a bit extra to cover certain things you want for your site, eight dollars can seem like a whole lot!”
Also, earning 8 dollars is so much more attainable than saying 96 per year or the huge claims of 6 figures per month that many people are making. Remember, the people making 6 figures per month started at earning nothing as well. 🙂 Here at LTB, we are all about bite-sized tasks. Pick one of the tasks and work on it this week. You will start to see some $$ in your account in no time. 🙂

Thanks. 🙂 My biggest struggles are creating content and having enough energy to work, so there’s no quick progress for me (even $8 worth!). I sell some printables and I would make more to sell if I had a color printer to test them on. I’m a bit uncomfortable relying solely on my computer screen for good color combinations. However, there may be a few things I can try. I’m so slow at everything though!

I don’t mean to be negative. I just get frustrated with stuff like this. 🙂
